Title: You have to love the tax man
Post by mummymac on Feb 28th, 2008, 2:34pm
I have just worked out that we have overpaid the tax man £986.69 ( nearly $1900) for 2006/2007. We have a different tax system to the UK mainland and used to pay our tax once a year. We still get the annual tax bill but they started taking monthly payments in a new way of doing things.

Like saving with out knowing - I love it

The letter asking for it back is on it way, and if they get their finger out and get a move on I might have a new computer soon that does not take 15 minutes to load or close down.

I am so excited. Windows 2007,  blue tooth wireless ear piece, here I come , hey I am in hogs Heven

Overpayment is great ;;D when I started my new job they put me on emergency tax code and I overpaid over £1,000. What they did was give me £500 back and I didnt pay tax for 4 months :) :) :)

You just gave your government a huge, interest free loan.

I wonder if there are any banks out there that would do the same for me....

Good for you Tanya.  Maybe you can even afford to buy a frame to put that pic of Donny Osmond in that Brewcrew posted for you on another thread.   lol

It's simple here. All we do with our rebates is take it to Wal Mart and send it to China by way of imported crap.
