Haggis is a scotsmans bagpipes stuffed with sheeps blood and intestines then baked in the oven for 3 hours.
It tastes great and you will be able to play "God Save The Queen" as you are eating.

A)Don't get too many hurricanes this far north (although if they do they're usually no more than a Cat 1)

My Brother and I were discussing this tonight.  this is the kind of snow we had back in "the days" when we were young.

We got spoiled with these 10 or so years of low snow fall.  We remember when the wind blew drifts up to the roof, and we'd dig snow caves through the entire yard.  

So yeah, record snow falls, ...but by how much?  Winters with a weeks worth of snow days were the norm 35 years ago around here.  

We got soft.  SOFT I tell you.

In our paper, there is a column of old news every day. In 1958, 47 people had died from the two blizzards that hit the State. I don't remember it but I was 12 at the time. We got about 10 inches here yesterday, snow flurries are still falling.  We  have a neighbor that plows us out and they even clean our two cars - for $50.  I think it's worth it.

Thank God I did my food shopping early.  Crystal and I might do snow angels later, then i'm running back in and sitting next to my fireplace with some warm tea.

I think the total was 8 in Boston. All the State of Emergency does is give Boston the authority to tow your car at your expense for parking on the street even if its a legal parking space.

I used to hand shovel a drivway and sidewalk for $5 back in 1970.  Back then it used to take me ~ 2 hrs for the average driveway and at $2.50 an hour I thought I was doing pretty good back then.  

Where I live right now 8" I consider a dusting of flurries.  LOL.  10-12, might break out the shovel to clear the stoops.  12-16, a little more shoveling and perhaps clear the end of the driveway.  16+ get the snowblower out..............

I am betting on that I will have to get the snowblower out before March 25.  Winter isn't over for the East Coast!

Partly true but it also means get the fuck out of the way so the roads can be cleared for emergecy vehicles.

Of course that would be much more efficient if the city trucks actually PUT THE FREAKIN PLOW DOWN.
