Title: FULL lunar eclipse tonight (Wednesday) Post by lionsound on Feb 20th, 2008, 7:08pm There is a full lunar eclipse tonight!! :) On the East Coast it starts at 10pm. Here's some more info and you can look up your time. (the next full lunar eclipse will be in Dec 2110) http://www.nasa.gov/topics/moonmars/features/eclipse_preview_080219.html Tonight, when we are all up in the middle of the night, there will be something to look at :) Happy AWESOME Science! edit to add: OOPS! You all are right(obviously..lol)......The total eclipse is at ten..the whole thing starts before. |

It started at 7:43 pm central time, and gets over at 11:09 central time. It looks cool, but it's coooold outside. I'll try to get some pics when more of it is covered. |

Title: Re: FULL lunar eclipse tonight (Wednesday) Post by kcopelin on Feb 21st, 2008, 8:24am I got to see about 1 minute of it-no time to get out the telescope (still packed up somewhere) but used binoculars...awesome! ran in to tell the guys to come look and by the time they got outside the clouds were covering it. Guess I yelled "lunar ecplise" just loud enough though-al our neighbors were out looking for it ::) cosmically yours, kathy p.s. also watched the shuttle landing (on TV) incredible. I remember when space travel was science fiction. :D |
