Under the Motor Vehicle Operator License Identification Act (MOLIA - enacted on July 9, 2007), all US states are required to digitally store a copy of every valid driver's license. License data must be made retrievable by The National Motor Vehicle License Bureau in order to form a consolidated and centralized database of U.S. driver's licenses. On August 3rd, 2005 Congress enacted an amendment to the Freedom of Information Act, providing public access to motor vehicle driver's information in an electronic format.

The amount of information out there is scary. Why can people look up driver's licenses online? It only fuels identity theft. I blocked access to my info.

Bloody hell - I looked up Paul and found him - I thought you had to have a current photo on your license though not one from when you were younger??

Actually tho, the pic looks better on the internet than the real thing. They're both awful when it comes right down to it.
