Title: Re: my email Post by Charlie on Feb 18th, 2008, 10:03pm It's PITA Mel. I forgot about it. The bashtards lowered the insertion fee but are jacking up their chunk of the profits and blocking people from posting unfavorable feedback. Doing the latter is the last thing I'd do because you have a good chance of getting some back. That's not the problem for me. Ebay pissed me off when they took off a Confederate cavalry button I listed that they called a fake. It was bullshit of course. Their first reason was that they didn't allow posting of items robbed from historic gravesites. Nice try ebay. A ton of CW stuff is battlefield dug. After some angry emails from me, they said that it was a fake. That's interesting because I told them to make up their minds. It's hard to dig up fakes in battlefields. That I was offered $5,000 from a big CW collector didn't much impress them. Too bad. Damned thing wasn't mine though. http://www.netsync.net/users/charlies/gifs/cry.gif Their final response to me was that they will continue to read my emails on the subject but will not respond. That's the way ebay treats its sellers. Unfortunately, most of us are stuck with them. We're hoping On Line Auction .com will get big enough to give them a run for their money. Their fees are simple: $8.00 a month. That's it. I plan to register with them too and give it a try. Can't hurt. Ebay sucks. http://www.netsync.net/users/charlies/gifs/pound fist smiley.gif Charlie |

Title: Re: my email Post by Melissa on Feb 18th, 2008, 10:07pm Oh yeah, I remember reading about the fees and feedback and such. I don't list on eBay a ton so I don't think it really affects me that much anyway, but I can see how it really sucks for others. Sorry Charlie :( |
