Not much notice taken here, but my middle brother (and his wife, Anita, most especially) will BE THERE in the stands, sniffin' the fumes like incense.

Their house resembles a shrine to "88" and Holy Earnhardt.  It's slightly peculiar.

Best wishes,

George

I'll second to that! Can't wait to see what will happen. :)

Having typed that, everyone's menus looked yummy indeed! Luckily I just had dinner, otherwise I'd be hungry. ;)

A piece of chocolate cake, anyone? I just made huge chocolate cake for Timo. He'll be home in few hours. :)

Can't start a Daytona 500 race without a good base. Here is what we had for brunch before the green flag.

Like Jackie, once the green flag drops everyone is on their own for food. We will have it laid out on the counter but will not miss any racing to prepare food.

We love finger foods!! [smiley=grin2.gif]

Go Jr. Goooo!! 8)

That's a very high bacon to egg ratio, Barry. I knew there was a reason I liked you.

pssst - Barry, I knew that. I just thought it looked funny: Jr. Gooooo.

I also thought it was funny, being from Wisconsin, when people cheered for Dick Trickle.

I most certainly remember this guy with the funny name. He was a good racer.

Who by the way began his racing career right here in Central Wisconsin racing at Golden Sands Speedway on Hwy 54 between Stevens point and Wisconsin Rapids against the much better (read honest and sportsman-like) Marv Marzofka.

Tricky Dicky

He used to smoke cigarettes while he was racing.

This is so weird. Angie and I were wondering if that was the same driver that after he tagged the wall and his car came to rest in the infield he stayed in the car and had a smoke while waiting for a tow truck. [smiley=smokin.gif]

Don't know, but if I was a betting man, I'd say yes.
