I have a part-time job now! :)
I just finished my first week at my new job. :) I'm working at the customer service of one Finnish company, which sells mobile phones and internet connections among other related products.

I've had one week of training before I started. It was actually nice that they trained 10 of us at once, so we can rely on each other when we don't recall something. :) So far, all the people I've met at work are very friendly and nice. Next week there will be more training, this time just customer service training.

Because my job means staring at the computer the whole time and I have some new job stress, ch has made little come back; one mild hit and some shadowing. Nothing too bad, though. Luckily for me, I have many colleagues who are energy drink junkies, so if I'll need to drink a can of Red Bull at work, no one will pay any attention to it. :)

And that's not all: I have not forgotten what I've been educated to do, so I contacted one online magazine editor who has bought my stories before and quess what? Based on few of my new ideas she asked me to write 3 new pieces for her! :) They all are about pet rodents (too bad guinea pig story was already done...) and I'm quite excited! ;;D

And I'm planning to apply to become a freelancer to one other magazine as well! :)

Awesome News Sandie...you deserve it. Congrats!

I wish I had pics to post about my two little girls - Teddy Bear Hamsters and that's what they look like -- Teddy bears.

Blondie and Brownie are their names...one is blonde and the other is brown - more grayish actually.

Boy I just love those critters. Gift for my birthday from Gordo. They come when I call them and I have so much fun with them. Blondie loves me putting her in my robe pocket while I walk around the house and do stuff. She actually hangs by the edges and with her head sticking out looking around while i'm doing stuff. I can write forever about them.

Crystal saw their tanks and said "damn, you've got them hooked up in a condo"...sometimes I go overboard :P

Who would of thought...me with hamsters...and I refuse to believe they're from the rodent family. :-/

Go for it!!! Keep the dream in front of you and keep it alive. Check out Og Mandino sometime. He had many, many rejections for his manuscript for [/i]The Greatest Salesman in the World[i]. he finally had one small publisher agree to to a small print of it, and it became the number one best seller in the "Self Help" category in the world.

You can do it! I'm looking forward to saying that I remember writing to Sanna when she was a "nobody". ;;D

Awesome Sandie. That is great and will get you out of the house and dealing with people. Who knows maybe dealing with some of the weirdos that you can get with a call center job like that will give you ideas for more stories. ::)

one of the pet rodents I'm writing about is hamster! :) All the tips and information about hamsters you have would be useful, because right now I know about guinea pigs only. I have borrowed books from my local library and I'm planning to ask lots of questions from the local pet shops.
