Last night was the 1st night where I was up a lot having to use the bathroom. Lots of pressure. I feel really odd today, like something will happen soon. After I get home, I think maybe I'll knit while watching Lost and have a bowl of ice cream. ;) |

I began with braxton hicks contractions as soon as we started home from shopping at 7pm. I then all of a sudden had to pee like a racehorse right afterwards, I thought I wouldn't make it to the bathroom! It was then they stopped, which was 20 minutes ago!! OMG :o I am soooooooooooooooooooo not ready for this! :'( |

When I was pregnant.. i would get those pains when i had to pee really bad too. They would come on strong, and feel like contractions - ... but my doctor said that they were'nt contractions - that they were bladder spasms... from being all cramped up in there and getting full real quick. Maybe that's all it is. :-/ And, if that's the case - just stay close to the bathroom and keep your bladder as empty as possible, and it wont be so bad. And -- you've done this before, you'll be fine. You'll have Ava when it's all over.. and it will be worth all of it. smooches woobie :-* |

It was a woman, her name is Dr. Jamison. I can't tell you how great an appt. it was! She listened to me, answered all my questions and I felt very comfortable with her. I will now see her weekly until I have this baby. Ok, the contractions last night WERE caused by not going pee! LOL! She said that some women forget that when they're drinking all that water, that they need to empty their bladders more often. So I will definately be doing that! Also, I'm just a fingertip (1cm) dialated and 20% effaced, whatever that means (I gotta look it up). She said it doesn't matter what I'm at right now, could give birth today, could give birth after my due date. No telling! Last but not least, after my appt. with her I did some hard thinking and soul searching. I know I wanted to try a med free birth this time, but seeing my anxiety is such a huge factor in my being so scared, I've decided that depending on how it goes, I just might ask for a spinal again. I'm going to play it by ear and see how it goes because I'm NOT gonna try and be superwoman! ;) You all are just GREAT for walking through this journey with me and being so kind, caring and sweet. Thank you all!! I love you guys, :)melly Oh, and P.S. Ava is doing really, really good! 141bpm heartbeat and still head down. I hope she's kind to her mother!! |

Since my son turned 19 and makes a full time wage....I cannot claim "head of household" and I lost $1,200 in tax-back !!! Even though he more or less lives with me for free, I lost the tax credit. Kinda pisses me off that I have to pay more than someone who has a kid. WHY !?!?!? Am I more responsible for the stupid Iraq war? I once heard that the child tax credit was to promote family. If this is true, I think it is a bad idea. Stupid and perpetually poor people squirt out kids one right after another & we award them for it !?!?!?!? Truthfully, it makes the population ever-increasingly ignorant for irresponsible people to spit out kids one a year. I see it all the time, no Daddy, Mom smokes crack and ignores the child. Next year there is another hopeless kid to live a guaranteed life of poverty and burden on society. Sorry, it got under my skin !!! Sigh, Dave >:( :-/ To top it off, we have a guy at work who brags about getting back more than he put in cause he has 3 kids >:( So I gotta pay for the Federal Govt's services and he doesn't !?!?!?
