I'm told by the smarter person in this house (not that I let him know that!) but apparently he once learned that 9 is a bit of a magic number and all kinds of puzzles revolve around that #.

Me - I prefer to believe it's magic and my 'puter is somehow possessed! ;;D

It works because the numbers are from our decimal system of numbers.
Any time you add 2 decimal numbers together and subtract the result
from the original number the answer will be 9 or a number divisible
by 9. Note that 9 and all the numbers divisible by 9 always have the
same sign.

Well it didn't work on me just picking a number, for example it doesn't like 14 or 16 and when I got one number and looked at another number, it came up with the number I was looking at and NOT the number I had gotten;

If I looked at the number I got, it got it every time as it was a derivative of 9;

Interesting code though :)
