Title: Z-Pack
Post by chewy on Jan 22nd, 2008, 9:01pm
Remember those pesky chest pains. Well they developed into a pesky case of walking pneumonia with a side order of bronchitis.

Anyone ever done a Z-Pack?

I've done lots of 8 balls, does that help?

You talkin' about Azithromycin, or Zithromax? I've done 'em a number of times.

You take a double dose the first day, then single doses for the next 4-6 days?

I have had it for bronchitis.  It is wonderful stuff, since I can't remember to take antibiotics twice a day for two weeks. Works great!

So I can expect the concrete truck to back off my chest soon?

You will start feeling better very soon - as soon as 48 hours sometimes.

There's a light at the end of that tunnel.

That all depends on how much you smoke.  ;)

Pnuemonia and Bronchitis. Mind as well throw in a good old Kip 9 and make it a hat trick.

I dont remember dear old Ma threatening that but I got the point.

Will it go well with a Tussin-AC cough syrup martini?

Sorry to hear you're feeling poorly, Chewy.  I did the Z-Pack the last time I had pneumonia.  It didn't clear it up all the way, but I felt a hell of a lot better.  A second round of antibiotics kicked it to the curb.

Good luck.

Absolutely. Shaken, not stirred.

The Z pack beats those 2 week courses of anti-biotics. Relief is quicker, and not every single living organism in your body is killed.

Of course, you've gotta figure out how to lay off the ciagrettes until this clears up. You're just gonna make things worse.

If you're not significantly better when the meds are gone...get yer ass back to the dr asap.

Feel better.

hugs, nani

Seriously, there should be no interaction between the antibiotic and a cough suppressant.

chewy...whatever you do, don't scroll down and take the When Will You Die quiz.
I don't even have pneumonia, and it said I should have kicked it last month. You're even older than me...

I took a z-pack for a sinus infection just before the surgery, it worked for me and I hope it kicks the bug's butt for you too.

Rats.

Sounds not fun Chewy. http://www.netsync.net/users/charlies/gifs/fever.gif

I'm not familiar with this so all I can say is be good to yourself.

Sux.

Try not to get pleurisy on top of it.  That, I've had.  Can't recommend it.

Best,

George

The Z-Pack has always worked. It is great, and you'll be almost 100% by the third day.

I'm hanging in there. I'm just not good at being home bound.

The office girl cancelled all my appointments and cleared my schedule so there wouldn't be any point in sneaking back in to work.

I work with a dominatrix.

Ugh, pneumonia is nasty.
Please rest, up the fluid, try to take those antibiotics with some food like some nice hot chicken soup.
Extra multivitamins will help too.
Oh and please also keep warm and cut down on the ciggies.

Sending healing vibes  :-*

Z-packs worked more quickly and more thoroughly for me than anything else ever has.

Get well soon.

As usual sharp as a tack, Chew.  Going to the ER with the paper clamps on would have needed the Z-pack and the OhGeeze-pack.

Sounds like a great lady to me!  If only I could take a riding crop to work!   [smiley=girlflash.gif]  I second the recommendation from either tussin-d or mucinex.  And with those, the more water you drink, the better the expectorant works.

There you have it, folks. Doctors the world over subscribe to the healing properties of chicken soup. Other meds given a back seat role. Film at 11:00.  ;)
