I have been sitting here trying to think of a way to tell all of you how much your prayers, good vibes and concern means to me and I guess the best way to sum it all up is to say thanks and I love you guys more than you will ever know (yes Randy, I love you, too...smarmy toad that you are... ;;D)

While I was trying to read your well wishes last night with my one good eye, I called John over to the computer to read the board with me. When he was done he said, "Wow, cool messages from your second family." ;;D

The eye surgery went well but I will look like Petey (the dog from The Little Rascals) for a few weeks. [smiley=laugh.gif]

I have been battling some eye problems thanks to my Grave's Disease for a while now so hopefully the second surgery I had on this eye yesterday will be my last.

The twilight sedation that I had proved to be really interesting. I remember babbling to my surgeon thru almost the whole procedure and mumbled something about "my CH buddies".....go figure?

After being mostly PF for over 2 years (with the exception of some shadows here and there), I felt The Beast lurking in the background during my ride home from the hospital.

I did have complications after my first eye surgery a few months ago so the eye surgeon has me on a Pred taper now which may be holding The Beast at bay. I hate Pred with a passion but am glad to be on it since I get right sided/right eye CHs which is the same eye that was operated on yesterday. I can't even begin to imagine going thru a cycle of CHs with internal and external eye sutures....yak!

Thank you all again for your concern. This family is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, dang it Cyn, I just saw this thread.....glad everything went well. The hard part, for me, is sitting around not doing much. A word of caution....the TV will suck your brain clean outta your head if you watch it too much. I'm very serious about this...I've watched it happen.

Oh Kathy, after only 2 1/2 days at home post-op, I am already going a bit stir crazy. I don't know how you have managed to keep your sanity seeing how long you have been somewhat immobile.

I have cleaned out my jewelry box, straightened three kitchen drawers, cleaned out some files in my filing cabinet and tonight I plan on paying some bills.....so much excitement happening here that I don't know if I can stand it. :-/ My poor dogs run from me because they know that the minute I start feeling better, they are both in line for toenail trimming.....sheesh, I am sooo bored!!!

You are correct about how bad TV is these days....even PBS during the daytime is bad but thankfully the programs are a bit more interesting at night.

I think you and I should gather up Ray and Elaine and we can start a CH recuperation center...wouldn't that be interesting???? [smiley=laugh.gif]

Anyway, thanks for the well wishes and hope you get better ASAP!!

Well, I'm sorta homebound right now due to my pregnancy and the weather. I find Food Network, the Discovery Channel and The Travel Channel to be the most interesting and calming shows to watch. ;)

Oh, I also bake when I'm bored too, but that's not good for my big butt. ::)

No, I don't think you should drive anytime soon!! At least not until that eye is fully healed!! But I do appreciate your support, and I will definitely keep you guys posted on how it goes. I am planning to take some pictures of the trial stimulator and maybe even record a video of it with my webcam. We'll see! It also depends on how I am feeling after the procedure and how I feel with the stimulator in place.
