I love how Rosie Odonnell  was screaming about gun control and then her body guard whipped a pistola out and aimed at a dude that got to close.

My guess is that gun violence isn't any worse than in the past.....probably less...as are violent crimes in places like New York City.  The difference is media. If it's stupid or nonsense, it gets picked up by every liveleak and the like and spread around until something even more idiotic "breaking news" replaces it. Our news is definitely "broken."

Shit, we had Rifle Club in my high school.  :o You have to wonder how that would go over today.

Oh Lordy,,,  and my son is out in the back yard trying to site in his scope on his rifle. I've got three dogs on my feet shivering (don't think they're gonna make huntin' dogs any time soon!). Sounds like WWIII around here, but luckily we're so far out in the boonies that no one notices (or cares).

But I don't think he's planning on shooting anyone tonight.

   I am constantly amazed at the lack of common sense and the effects of fear and ignorance by people who just can't see guns objectively. Guns are nothing more than tools, like cars and power tools, that have the ability to create and destroy equally. I grew up shooting, and to be honest most of the people that I know who own and carry guns know more about them then the infantrymen I served with in the Army. These people want only to ensure the safety of their loved ones, the same reasons I have carried a gun for 9 years. The part that numbs my brain is the belief that outlawing or restricting guns would have any effect on the criminals who commit gun crimes. Duh, only the people that follow the rules are going to consider giving up their gun rights!!

  Dont know why that simple concept is so hard for educated people to understand.

My guns have killed less people than Ted Kennedy's car  ;)
