Title: Re: How's our friends in CA doing? Post by Linda_Howell on Jan 4th, 2008, 9:35pm Power out all night. On again for a while and then just as I was typing something here, it went out again. Pouring rain, winds at 65 MPH..roof tiles all over the streets, including mine. 100 year old Oak trees broken in half, power is back on...for now. (serves me right for the "shoveling sunshine" post I made the other day. :-/) |

Title: Re: How's our friends in CA doing? Post by Linda_Howell on Jan 4th, 2008, 9:57pm an Earthquake? Oh yeah, tell me about it. California would be in the ocean with all the mudd and water inland that there is and Phoenix would be the new Los Angeles. Watch for the reports too...there's gonna be mudslides throughout the bay area as well as So. Calif. Lots of folks losing their homes because they choose to build houses on a hillside so they could see the Ocean. They'll see it all right. Up close and personal. Charlotte, Kathy and I are in the middle of the state so to speak. The valley. So we really won't be sliding into the sea just yet. Now BobP that's a whole different story...check-in booby. |

Lots of trees down, flooding, Linda's right-just wait for the mudslides in all the areas that were burned not too very long ago. Joe? Bob P? (((hugs))) kathy |

Title: Re: How's our friends in CA doing? Post by Guiseppi on Jan 5th, 2008, 12:25pm It just started hitting here early this morning, I'm almost at the Mexican border, the southern most portion of California. The storms don't usually pound us like they do the poor folks in central and northern cal. Hang onto your hat Linda!!! Guiseppi |
