Title: Wish me luck
Post by sandie99 on Jan 4th, 2008, 5:30am
It's the time of the year again... summer jobs, part-time jobs, jobs. ;;D

I'm working on 13 applications currently and I'm searching for more. If I can do the job, if I'm qualified, I'll apply. Most of them are, naturally, jobs for journalists, but I'm looking at others as well.

Wish me luck, I feel that 2008 is my year... ;)

You go girl!  Any organization would be blessed to have you as an employee!  God always puts us exactly where we can do the best, so keep the faith.  Also keep networking, polish that resume, and don't forget the internet.

Praying for big things for ya my friend!

(((hugs)))

Good Luck Sanna.  Dont let them ignore you either.

Bug them until they tell you to go away or hire you just cause they dont want you to keep bugging them.

Thank you so much, guys! :)
Many applications are on their way, even more are in plans. Let's just see what happends... :)

Tia, that is one brilliant idea. Now all I need to decide is: who to bug first... ;;D

Kathy, that was so beautiful way to put it. Thank you.

Rosy, I LOVE that creature! It's so cute! :D Thank you.

Lots of hugs & PF wishes to all,
Sanna

Stretch your wing Sanna.  Don't be afraid of taking on a challenge and don't sell yourself short.  Good luck in the search hon.

Sanna,

I'd been job hunting awhile and went through many that were a three-tiered interview process along with testing.  The last one seems like one too many but it's the make-or-break one, also.  Interviewing is very important, be prepared.

Some sites about journalism interviewing, two from our local paper.

Quote:
The job interview is for a current or imminent opening, and involves several people at the paper. It is our most important tool in a hiring decision.

There seem to be more helpful links on each page.
