A group of deputy sheriffs decided that they would vacation together at a remote mountain retreat. To save money, they decided to sleep two to a room. No one wanted to room with a particular deputy named Daryl because he snored so loudly. They decided it wasn't fair to make one of them room with Daryl the whole time, so they voted to take turns.

The first deputy to room with Daryl showed up for breakfast the next morning, exhausted, his hair a mess, and eyes bloodshot. "Man, what happened?”, the other deputies asked."

"Daryl snored so loudly, all I could do is sit up and watch him all night.", he replied.

The next night another deputy roomed with Daryl. In the morning, same thing, exhausted, hair standing up, eyes blood-shot. "Man, you look awful, is Daryl that bad?", they asked.

"Man, that Daryl shakes the roof with his snoring, all I could do is sit up and watch him all night.", he replied.

The third night was Frank's turn. Frank was a big burly ex-football player; a man's man. The next morning he came to breakfast bright eyed and bushy tailed. "Good morning," he said cheerfully.

The other deputies couldn’t believe it! “How did you survive rooming with Daryl?” they asked.

”It was easy, as we turned in I went over to Daryl’s bed, held his hand as I tucked him in and gave him a good night kiss.” He replied.

While the other deputies exchanged nervous looks, Daryl arrived for breakfast, exhausted, hair a mess and eyes bloodshot. “You look bad Daryl, What happened?” they asked. “It was aweful, I had to sit up all night keeping an eye on Frank”, Daryl replied.
