Title: Continuing Clusters
Post by victoriafb on Dec 8th, 2003, 10:55pm
Hi everyone,

I'm the new kid on the block. I am in a series that is still here. Been in it for 3 weeks now.
Last night was the worst I have had since it started.
At 3:00pm it started, and eased up at around 5:00pm.
Then at 9:00pm it really sent me over the edge and lasted until around 12:30 am. 3 clusters in all.
Today I have felt like a freight train hit my head. I am now feeling a little better, but afraid to go to bed tonight because they will come back again.
I haven't been to work in a week, and don't know if I can return this week. I will have to take it day by day.
Glad to know that all of you are out there for me.
Thanks!!!!!!!!

What meds are you taaking?

I use OTC Dramamine to get some sleep or any other OTC containing benedryl will help.

Welcome to the board, Victoria.

That fear of going to sleep is, I am sure, a feeling alot of us have had.  But....when I attempted the sleep deprivation........the beast came later.  Didn't matter how long I had been up.  Regular as clock work, he came back.  Always got the visit around 230-300 a.m.  So I would stay up till 5 or so.......by 530-600, there he was!

I am convinced that you can't trick him.  He's way to sharp.

Sure hope you get what you need to take care of the pain.  Let us know how you are doing.

PF vibes,

Jean

Sorry to hear you are suffering also.  Like you, I can't work when I am in cycle.  I am lucky sometimes I can get dressed in the morning.  I have worked through many cycles and I never accomplished a thing except for getting on everyone's nerves.  Good luck.

I know how you feel, and feel for you.  Guess in ways I'm lucky, since this is the first "attack" I've ever had.  In my 6th week.  I have had great difficulty working and keeping up, just feel so foggy and can't seem to keep things organized.  My hubby and I own a business, and I'm supposed to be the detail person and fixer.  It's not working, and he doesn't get it yet.  He's getting real frustrated with me.   :o :o  If this is any indication how people react, what happens to y'all that work for people that have no personal knowledge?  I'm interested what happens to others on the job.  How do you manage to maintain?

Wishing you PFDAN
KK

Victoriafb welcome.  If you're getting hit at night it may be worth it to try melatonin 45 min before bed.  It's cheap and can possibly help a lot.
