Post by nancyc on Nov 14th, 2003, 12:38am
I am searching for clusterheads in SC...Just Deb is searching for them in NC...and Elaine is looking in Georgia...We are having our second get together...I had gotten a list from the "where we live " site here...but alot of the email addresses are no longer any good...has anyone got any ideas of how I can contact other clusterheads in these states? Trying to come up with some other avenues...any ideas would be appreciated.....thanks.... ;;Dnancyc

Use Yahoo People Search, get the phone number, call them.

Here's the first three from Where We Live list

Beth Kays is at  (803) 649-5105

Maddi Wallace – ain’t no Maddi in Barnwell (unless that is just a nick-name or her phone is in hubby’s name)

Scott Burkhart has probably moved to Aiken and is at (803) 642-6192
He was in Barnwell.

Pretty easy, huh?

I don't have any better ideas than that, but those names are making me homesick!  I lived in Beech Island for ten years before coming back up here to Yankeeland.  (Yes I know there is an adjective that normally precedes Yankee in SC. ;;D)  One of these days I may just have to come back down and crash one of your meetings.

Nancy,

Two ideas:

1) Advertise in the local newspapers, every one has their local paper, send them a press release with a contact number and/or a date where the group will be meeting. Also newspapers like doing human interest stories, try it, the worst they can say is no.

2) Give your information to your neurologist, GP, dentist, ophtalmologist and oxygen supplier. With that many specialties covered, you are bound to find one or two.

Good Luck.

Wouldn't that be a great phone call to get...

"Hi, I searched the internet for your home phone number and address. Would you like to meet me at the Holiday inn for a meeting?????
Oh, BTW, we posted your home phone number and address on a public message board in case anyone else wants to call you...I hope you don't mind!!!"

or, I suppose it could be more personal....

"Hello, Mrs Miller? This is Nancy calling for Jim. I got his home number from the internet. I was wondering if he wanted to meet me at the Red Roof Inn, room 233 to discuss the "head" problems he's been having. I hope he can come." You can come too if you'd like to watch the proceedings and even participate if you'd like."

What about a PSA?

Most radio stations do those for free, I think...

Hey PinkFloyd...........
Probably I shouldn't have done that, But, WTF.

The phone numbers are listed in PUBLIC phone books therefore I think these people WANT and APPROVE of their numbers being known.

But, maybe not.

I see 14 from NC, SC, and GA on the new member map (link at top) I suggest you contact them using email or PM. At least they have visted here in the last 2-3 weeks.
