I just had to share with everyone my good news. On Friday I got a list of Nurology (Hope I spelt that right) specialists. I found a Dr. and made an appointment for my fiancee with him. HE IS SUCH A GREAT DOCTOR. It's the first doctor we've been to in a long time that actually knew what the heck he was talking about. He agreed (like much of the advice you had all given) that Staydol isn't the best medication to be on. He told us how tolerence is eaisly built up and how he once got a new patient that was using two bottles of Staydol a day! He is very smart, and VERY willing to find something that actually works. I told him about this site and how many of you have said that the injectable imitrex worked well. I also mentioned the Verapamil. He was suprised how many medications I had heard of. He told me that Verapamil is one of the best preventative medacations he has ever perscribed. He said most of his patients have thrived off of it. He perscribed my fiancee both of these medications and wants to see him back there on Tuesday! I've never seen such commitment, and determination from a doctor! Since he's been taking the Verapamil he's only had very slight headaches, maybe three since Saturday morning. He's only used the imitrex once and it worked wonders. I just had to share this exciting news with all of you. If anyone is looking for a good doctor in the Bay Area of California, I can give you the information so you can go and see him. Super news!

Finding a great doc, especially a good neuro, is tough but when you do find one: Wow! It's like there's finally light at the end of the tunnel.

I am extremely glad for you.

Wait! I just had an idea for Disney's Pixar next movie: "Finding Neuro". What do you think? :P

we have a lot of new people here that may not be aware of grapefruit juice and verapimil together is a no-no.

How about adding the doctor's name to our database? That's how it's been built, to date - is by folks just like you finding doctors that actually UNDERSTAND and want to help clusterheads.

That's great news! It's so difficult to find a neuro who knows what he's talking about.

Hello all. I will post it in the doctor information area of this site but here it is incase anyone wants it. So far the Vepramil is working wonders, and so is the imitrex. I'm so happy he's off the Staydol. Thank you all so much for your advice, opnions, and support. Here is the information on the doctor we saw:
