Title: Another newbie!
Post by samurai on Oct 27th, 2003, 9:43pm
   Hello All,
My name is Jason and I just discovered this site last night. I have had these silly CH's for about nine years now and I had just been using Tylenol (ineffectively) and waiting it out. I am excited to find all the information and research on this website, and all the different treatment methods that I've not yet tried! I am episodic and I think I may be nearing the end of this episode, but  the faster the better. I'm also comforted to know that I am not the only one, up until now I had never known of another actual sufferer or heard the stories that sound so familiar.

Welcome to Clusterville Jason. Sorry you're here, but glad you found us. Seems the town is growing by leaps and bounds lately. But we've got room for everyone.

Over to your left is the library where there's some really good reading. Everything you ever wanted to know about CH is there, compiled by Clusterheads for Clusteheads and there for the education of all.

We've got a lot of town characters here, but you'll get around to meeting them all. They're really all a good bunch.

We've got an organization called OUCH that we talk about a lot. Organization for Understanding Cluster Headaches. Suggest you go to the OUCH website and join right up. Good organization to be a part of. It's purpose is to WIPE out these headaches.

Got a convention coming up in Nashville in July. But you can read about that too.

So you've moved into a really "booming" little place here. Something going on all the time. Let me suggest you pull up a chair and just start reading. May take you a while to get around to everything, but it kinda grabs your interest and you just can't quit after you get into it.

Hope you are nearing the end of your cycle. We all love it when that happens to one of the family.

Oh, I'm Barb D - the official "hugger" of the place.. and I just learned to put boxes around quotes on posts - so see - this place is educational too. LOL!

Hugs BD

I know how you feel, I was real emotional when I found this site.

I had 12 years of pain before I found out I had CH.

Welcome, look around...

Hey Jason, you're definately right the tylenol doesn't help at all  :-[.  But all the members here are very helpful so maybe you'll find something to ease and hopefully stop the CH's.

Hi Jason and welcome...... :)
My advice is read, read and then read some more.....here and on the OUCH site.  Knowledge is power.  There are better things out there than Tylenol for sure and there's always someone around to help you out.....pretty good bunch around here... :)

Hey Jason.

Even if you are lucky enough to have your cycle ending, and I hope it's true, stick around cause Tylenol ain't touching it.

Plenty of info for you to gather.

Welcome.
