Post by nancyc on Oct 26th, 2003, 9:25pm I need some feedback on having a gathering at my house....I really want to meet some of my fellow sufferers and supporters that live near me...Our last venture got messed up due to the fact of family obligations but as of friday, I am FREE and would love to entertain in my home again....Would love to know how many of you would be interested in traveling to SC to have a get together......please give me some ideas here...I am off every other weekend...I was off this weekend so you can figure out dates from that... :Dnancyc |

If so, afraid not....we have soccer until that weekend and then tournaments the following weekend....Actually soccer isn't really over with post season stuff until after the 1st weekend in December...which is really cutting it close to Christmas...... I came home tonite from work...got really hurt by a situation close to home and felt so defeated....Then, i clicked on my puter...and low and behold, my emails were loaded with replies from clusterheads who are interested in our cluster meeting NOV. 8th....I started tearing up then....YOU guys are my Salvation....when my whole world is falling apart, you are here for ME! THANK YOU!!! We have another detail worked out....THE meeting is going to be Sat. Nov. 8th at 1pm....We will be meeting for lunch right off I-26 for lunch and then come to my house...I will post on Friday the name of the place we will meet...After we eat, everyone is invited to my house...I really hope anyone close by makes every attempt to make it because meeting with clusterheads is a fantastic, beautiful , life changing experience that you will never forget...smiles,nancyc |

We won't make the lunch, but we'll surely be able to make the gathering at your house afterwards. I'm really excited about this since I've only met Elaine (which I think I was blessed with her being my first ch'er to meet) and I'm looking forward to meeting many more. Can you email me with your cell and home numbers...I know how us ch'ers like to chat and you guys could still be at lunch by the time we drive our 4 hours up there! ;) Also make sure to include me with the email you send out with directions and the rest of the details - oh yeah and a hotel close by to you would be great too. Post by nancyc on Oct 31st, 2003, 12:34am OK, here is the deal if this is ok with everyone....I talked with O'Charley's and they said they would welcome us with open arms...clusters and all! smoke and all, and despite the fact there may be some lunatics amongst us ;;D...So, we let's meet at 1pm at O'Charley's on Harbison Blvd. In Columbia, SC...On Saturday, November 8th.....IF you are coming into columbia on I-26 take exit 103 (Harbison Exit) , after you get off the exit, you bear to the right...go down about one mile...you will pass McDonalds, Chili's, Olive Garden and lots of stores(you will go thru about three red lights) then you will see it on the left..you cant miss it! I will keep my cellphone on...Email me and I will give you my cellphone number as I dont like to post it on the mb due to the fact there are some crazies in the world :o... IF you are coming in from I-77, take I-26 towards Spartanburg, then take exit 103 Harbison and when you get off the exit, you will bear to the right...then you will pass McDonald's , Chili's, Olive Garden and lots of stores..and then you will see O'Charley's on your left...I cant wait to see all of you there! If you are coming from I-20, take I-26 towards Spartanburg and follow the same directions above...wee....Afterwards, we will go to my house to sit around and talk....please let me know if you plan to stay over nite...I dont have enough beds for everyone but if you bring sleeping bags, I got enough floor space so you sure wont be out in the cold ;;D. ..Just let me know what your plans are OK? We are going to meet and eat at the restaurant, and then go to Nancy's house for the REAL party! I am going to bring a big pot of chilli. If you plan to drink booze, bring it with you. We need others to bring snacking food, some soft drinks, maybe salads, side dishes, deserts, or other food as you see fit. If we do this right, we should be up most of the night, partying and chatting and whatever else Brian has in store for us! (Did ya see that suttle reminder of who is in charge of entertainment?) Nancy has graciously (foolishly?) offered floor space to those who do not want to drive back home that night. I plan on taking some of that floor space. Who else wants to spend the night? I think that Elaine should be given the chaparoning duties to make sure no hanky panky goes on (who is going to watch her? Buddy?) (I heard that Buddy says that NOBODY can control that girl ...) Heehee ... It is not a big house, but there are private places for those that get hit, and want some privacy (like ME!). Let us know what you plan to bring, and if you plan on crashing at her place. I met some of the MOST wonderful people at Nancy's - we're just sorry we couldn't make it to the lunch event. Next time we'll make sure to be there from the start to the finish!!! For those of you we missed at lunch - we'll catch you in January! I agree with Nancy - supporters ROCK!!!! Kim my hat is off to you. I know all too well what having a wonderful supporter is like and Mikey is as blessed as I am to have such a supporter. Us sufferer's can only imagine what you guys go thru. Keep up the good work - you are truly appreciated. Mikey - your sense of humor was killing me last night - my side are hurting today! I enjoyed chatting with you and getting to know you. Since we didn't spend the night at Nancy's, I'm not able to give an account of the "after affects" of Chuck's chili - I can tell you however, it was wonderful - thanks Chuck :) Just so everyone knows - Chuck is a wild man with his cane! :o Deb - that banana bread was delicious - I'm sure that you took out ALL of the fat and calories for me ;) I'll keep in touch regarding the baby clothes - let me know when you're ready to get rid of them and we may take another road trip. ;;D PS - Where is that Statue of Liberty pic? I can only say to those ch'ers who have not met a fellow sufferer - click the "where we live" button and hook up with somone for lunch...it will do you a world of good emotionally - it's just an immediate extension of your family!
