Title: Christmas Gift Swap
Post by juvy on Oct 16th, 2003, 5:08am
Crazy Idea,

Secret Clusterhead Elves.

My favorite time of  year is coming up. And I was wondering if anyone wanted to participate in a Secret gift  exchange.

Here's how it may work if any one agrees.

Anyone who wants to particpate can send me their address.  At the end of the deadline...somewhere in november.  I will place all the names in two seperate containers and draw two names.  First container will be the giver, second container will be the receiver.  Only the giver (and me of course) will know who they need to send a gift to.  The receiver will find out when they receive their gift.  Gift limit will be $25 dollars or 25 Euros.

Let me know what you think.

Hey that's a good idea, but make it through the OUCH store.... That way OUCH gets something out of it..... and we've got a new stock coming in..... caps, mugs, t-shirts with POCKETS, tote bags..... Just in time for Christmas giving...... Don't forget your decals......

We can put a card in your gift box -- just e-mail me and let me KNOW who it's to and from...

Hugs BD

Another Christmas gift idea:

A year ago, Elaine had one of her angels as the recipients of gifts.  A little boy she knew that was dying from cancer, and all E wanted for xmas was folks to send him and his family gifts instead of her.  Clark and I adopted this family for xmas last year.  Garrett is no longer on this earth, he is an angel now.

We have another family member among us that needs an angel xmas.  Nancy's nephew, (OneEyeBlind), Chris, is fighting a devastating battle.  Perhaps some of us could adopt him as a Christmas Angel project this year, and help his family provide a good christmas.

What do you say Nancy?

Cat, I say I think I am gonna cry. Just the cards you have sent have made a huge difference in his days.  He anxiously awaits the mail each day, and smiles when he gets a card from one of you (or friends, family and others).  My sister had me laughing today, because Chris recieved a card from "The unsolved equation" and spent all night laughing to himself just about the name.  He thought the name was pretty cool.  At 16, it's funny what can make you laugh.

Each and every one of your cards has made a difference in his life, each bringing a little smile to his face.  I can't thank you enough for that.

If you would want to continue that, and start sending Christmas cards his way, it would be appreciated.  Anything you do for them warms my heart and soul.  I thank God for this network of friends that I found every day.
