First, a THANK YOU to everyone who took the time to send me kind thoughts and words of encouragement.  It really did help.

I'm alive.  And, as of today, two days PF.

I'll try not to ramble.  Last week was truly a hell-week.  HAs all week long, no sleep, no fun...  If the KIP scale was the Billboard Chart my CHs were selling platinum records.  Suicide Headaches indeed.  If I did not have such a great wife, and if you were not all out there cheering for me, I think this week would have seen one less Clusterhead.  But I do, and you were and are.  

Friday, despite the HA (KIP 7 or so) I again went to the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta and in a last effort of defiance, I helped them get a balloon up and rode in the damn thing!  I know my enjoyment would have been better had I not had the HA, but it felt good to do it despite the Beast. (Yeah for little battles won...)

At 4:23 PM, like someone flipped a switch somewhere, the Beast was suddenly gone.  He returned sometime during the night in a whisper, but the O2 knocked him out.  Since then I have been PF.

A few observations from my week:


  • CH is certainly the worst pain I have experienced, and that includes car wrecks, being bit by a rattle snake and being shot (yes, with a gun).

  • There is absolutely nothing anyone can do for you that makes it any better, but just knowing that someone is TRYING to help, gives you a psychological edge over the Beast.

  • Having found this site, and you people, has certainly saved my sanity and quite possible saved my life.

    Sorry to hear about horrible time, but I soo glad that you're PF now!  :) too bad I can't say the same for myself  :(

    But I agree: this place does wonders for sanity...  ;D
