Guess I am not done. So you all are stuck with me. Sorry. :'( So far since July (when these started I seem to have the cyle down fairly well. 3-3 1/2 week of CH then 5-8 days PF then back again. I hit my 8th day and prayed that I was done, but here we are back again.

At least my new insurance staed and through it I can get a total of 18 Imitrex a month. But the doc wants me to wait 2 months and keep a journal on when and how these things hit before we look into other treatments.

Thank you all for putting up with me, I am just really worn down with these things and sick on top of it. :-/

Would be nice if you stuck around and offered the same support you are getting when your pain free....am I wrong?

Not meaning Johnny that I would not. I have gotten into the habit of coming here every day. I feel like I am finally getting to know some of you and so many have been great by helping me to understand this thing. But I was hoping htat I could be support rather then in need for a while. Sorry if that came out sounding bad.

Hey, you would be suprised at what keeping a headache journal can do for you. It gives your doctor a better idea of how HARD you are getting hit and also WHAT WORKS for you. Note the time of the headache, the scale of the headache (use the Kip scale if you can ... otherwise make up your own, and also not the time it took to go form severe and down the pain scale. Also note what meds you used. It's REALLY REALLY hard to remember in the morning or later on that day what actually happened. I know it sounds like a lot to do, but what I did was when I was "coming down off the headache" this gave me some down time to try and relax, journal it and be done with it. Hope that suggestion helps. It worked for me, might work for you. If it works for you, documents it for your doc .... you'll have better luck with the doc and the insurance companies.
