Title: migrainous stroke, aura
Post by violet on Oct 4th, 2003, 10:44pm
Hi Group,
I have had 2 small strokes due to vaso constriction.  It was discovered on MRI's done after the migraines, when the blind spots I was having wouldn't go away.  I am now partially blind from both strokes.   A typical aura for me consists of blindness, one sided numbness and dizzyness.  Sometimes I have difficulty speaking.  Anyone else in the group ever have this happen?
Thanks,
Vi

Hi Violet.  I've never experienced such a thing.  Those do not sound like symptoms of cluster headaches.  I hope you have a good neurologist.  Explore this website as much as you can, there's tons of info here.

See, we Migraineurs are useful for some information LOL~~Prense... Sufferers of "Classic Migraine" can have visual, auditory, olfactory, or other symptoms called an aura before headache pain. Some migraineurs sometimes have the aura, but no actual headache. Auras can be helpful, allowing medications to be taken before headache pain begins.  I sometimes get such an aura that causes blindness to one eye... or a glowing shadow as if I had looked into a light bulb or the sun.  Hope I helped to explain this for you.........
