This years gathering will be held July 15-17th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in North Dallas. I will have the Online reservation code by this Monday, so if you are going to reserve your room on line, please wait until then so OUCH will receive "credit" for the reservation. The number for reservations is: 1-800-377-9778 To get the contracted room rates you MUST specify that you are with the O.U.C.H. Group. The room rates are as follows: A Standard room (Deluxe) with a King or two Double beds is $69.00 per night. A Executive King or Double is $89.00 per night. There is no contracted rate for suites. http://tinypic.com/1ouckm This is what the rooms are like at the Crowne Plaza...very posh, very very posh...the hotel is currently undergoing a 6 million dollar renovation that will be completed 3 months before we arrive!! http://tinypic.com/1ouc87 There are limited smoking rooms under NORMAL circumstances...however, I have been assured that anyone who wants a smoking room will have one. I would STILL recommend booking early if you want your exact preferences in room choices. Internet access (T-1 line) is extra in your room at a cost of $9.95 for a 24 hour period. I tried to negotiate that cost away, but no luck. Believe me, the hotel is more than making up for it in meeting rooms and our hospitality suite. HOWEVER, if you have wireless capability on your laptop internet access is FREE in all the public areas of the hotel AND they have a business center with internet access, as well. If your bringing a friend, do they have to pay the registration fee too? This is my first convention, I have looked back on the pics of the old ones, but what will be happening at this one? Where else would I look????? We live in the Dallas area so we won't just "be there" all weekend long...Sooooo...somebody please tell me when it actually starts.....and where and ALL the details please so when we drive up there we aren't just wondering around the hotel...K?
