Just wanted to post a quick update.

My cycle began Jan. 7, it was daily and really traumatic for me. My Mom was very ill throughout. Everyone here was so helpful. You educated me, supported me, and let me bitch and moan.

Well my Mother did not make it, she died peacefully March 24th. Nor was I able to make the 700 mile trip to be with her in time but my cycle did break in time for me to make the funeral which was HUGE for me. Who knows maybe the saying that "God doesn't give you more than you can handle" is true.
Whatever, I will just try and be ready when I get hit again. I will rest, I will celebrate my Mother's life.

Thank you all for everything. This board has so much to offer here for so many people.

And OHHHH here is to my getting off the Topamax/Dopamax hopefully!! ;) ;)

I'm glad to hear that your cycle is over. I hope that the beast will stay away for a long, long time as well - but that you'll stick around. :)

I am sorry to hear about your mom. I am glad you made it to the funeral, and that your cycle broke.

I certainly plan to stick around! This place and all you folks are like a new family. I don't have much to offer other than my own experience which is very little compared to most of you. Thanks again :)

You're a bright light on the board, glad to hear you'll be sticking around. So sorry to hear about mom, not a road I've had to go down yet. Hoping your remission lasts a life time!

I’m also sending my condolences for the loss of your Mother. And thanks for blessing us with your presence

Don’t run off just because your cycle is over we have to stick together if we’re going to get to the bottom of this.

I sorry to hear about the loss of your Mom Mary Ann. My wife and I both lost our Dads in the last few years. Fortunately our Moms are still hanging in there.

Please do hang around. All we each have is our own experience. That collective knowledge gives this place its power to affect lives in positive ways. Our personalities add soul and flavor.

The place wouldn't be as sweet without you.

My deepest sympathy on the loss of your mother. This must have been very hard on you, doubly because you were in cycle while she will ill.

I am happy to hear that your cycle broke, and wish you a life time of pain free days.

Mary Ann, I'm sorry to hear about your Mom. I was in cycle when my Mom was in ICU and dying-I got to spend a bit of time with her but not enough.
I'm glad to hear of your cycle ending-please enjoy the PF time and focus on the essentials...

Thanks Kathy! My Mom was in ICU for 9 days and I just cannot believe I didn't figure out a way to get my BUTT down there for one last moment with her. Everyone has said and will say all the right things but right now it feels like I will forever regret that.
I will get my arms around this eventually so it's okay and I know she is in a better place.
Thanks for everyones kind kind words!!! And praise my HEAD for giving me some freaking relief right now!!!!!

Sorry to read this about your Mom, But she will be ok.....My Dad is up there and he will watch out for her! :'(
