Title: @#()*%& Post by DennisM1045 on Mar 28th, 2008, 3:25pm Verapamil has been working great. Two weeks basically PF (if you forget about the MSG triggered hit Saturday morning ::) ). I miss 1 friggin 80mg dose of verapamil on Wednesday morning by 3 hours and it's been nothing but shadows and hits ever since. F'ing burning won't stop! F'ing tearing won't stop! My eyeball is in a vise! F'ing O2 only keeps it away for half an F'ing hour and it's back!!!!! Had to resort to Naratriptan to get some work done. I hate triptans!!! Anyone else get throat pain/burning drinking coffee after a dose of triptans? Even the hot water in the shower hurt my skin! AAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! There. Now I feel better. No need to reply. I just needed to get that off my chest. -Dennis- |

You ask questions and then tell us not to reply? No, that never happened to me. Quote:
Now THAT I can relate to (especially the scalp), but I never connected it to the triptans. |

Title: Re: @#()*%& Post by kevmd on Mar 28th, 2008, 4:37pm Can't relate but you reminded me that I was 2 hours late on a verap dose. Thanks! The PF will return. I do not get any side affect from triptans unless its the chest/jaw tighness. Keep fighting |

Yes! I totaly get this from Triptans! It also makes the sides of my neck burn, like that burning feeling you get in your muscles when you are working out. Wow! I thought I was the only one :o Hope you get to feeling better soon! |

Sorry for the mixed message. I was feeling whiny. I hate feeling whiny! I'd love to tell you I'm feeling better today but it wouldn't be true. I have a call into my Neuro. Going to try and up the Verapamil again. My BP is a steady 120/80 and my HR is holding at 55 so I still have some room to work with on that front. -Dennis- |

Title: Re: @#()*%& Post by barry_sword on Mar 29th, 2008, 7:25am Hope you find some relief Dennis, I am hoping that when the beast comes knocking on my door again that the 480mg verapamil does what it did with my last cycle, time will tell. Best to you. [smiley=hug.gif] |

And my fingertips and toetips get sensitive to hot/cold too, so the hot water in the shower bothers me too. Or even from just washing my hands. |

Title: Re: @#()*%& Post by michael on Mar 31st, 2008, 9:06am Can definately relate to the burning in the mouth and throat from hot drinks for a while after using imitrex. Also the sensitive skin in the shower. Mike |
