Title: can you move your CH? Post by Perediablo on Mar 18th, 2008, 4:01pm howdy, I found a little trick today. During a somewhat nasty attack today, I tried to shove my fingers through my skull. I noticed that when I pressed really hard, the pain elsewhere in the head seemed to flow to that one spot I was pressing on. Now it didn't kill the pain, just made it more tolerable sort of. I chose the point behind my ear at the top of my neck. All of the eye pain, and temple area pain seemed to rush to the back of my head. That in turn allowed me to look straight forward and get out of the "ball" position. Has anyone else found this? Is it "normal"? PS the ball position is quite difficult with a splint on your knee and walking with crutches :P hehe |

Title: Re: can you move your CH? Post by Jonny on Mar 19th, 2008, 9:33pm In my opinion.....you are blocking the blood flow. It can be done by simply twisting your neck the right way. I do all I can when I cant kill a Kip 10......I twist my neck and push on certain places. It dont stop it but it helps. |

Title: Re: can you move your CH? Post by Perediablo on Mar 21st, 2008, 3:47am I agree with your blood flow opinion Jonny. I was trying this today during a very mild afternoon hit, and it didn't really make a difference. I don't recommend shoving your fingers through your brain wrapper, but a slight pressure may indeed be a little relief if only for a minute. |

Works exactly the opposite for me. I apply direct presure to the most painful area and it redirects it to another area. |

Kind of the same as using an icepack with me. Wherever I press and hold, it seems to move a bit out of the way and need to redirect it around the area some. |

Title: Re: can you move your CH? Post by Sandy_C on Mar 21st, 2008, 12:34pm For once, I agree with Jonny :D Applying pressure to different pain points, eyebrow, just above the eye, in front of ear, jaw joint, top of skull, I can lessen the pain in that area, by re-directing the blood flow, but it gets re-directed to another area. It does not stop the hit, but, in my opinion, it gives me a slight "breather" from pain in that particular area for just a minute or two. During a hit, I am constantly applying pressure to the blood vessels around the right side of me head, from jaw to scalp (I'm a rightie). When the hit is over, my fingers are absolutely tired and sore. So, to answer your question...."is this normal". It is for me. Sandy |

Title: Re: can you move your CH? Post by kevmd on Mar 24th, 2008, 10:49pm I never tried to move him around up there but I tried pulling him out of my nose by sticking my finger as far up my nose as I could. Just when I thought I reached the devil, he bit my finger. |
