Melatonin is a dietary supplement - at least in the US. I think I remember reading somewhere that you might need a prescription in the UK.

Dont see why the doc has refused you sleeping tablets, i explained i wasnt sleeping and ask for some to see if they would help, he gave me a months supply!
I have a good relationship with my doc and he knows i wouldnt ask for them if i didnt really need them and he would never give me repeat prescriptions for them just some if i request!!

Explain its affecting work and see what happens!

I've always found it funny that nearly every med I've ever taken to prevent ch has "headaches" mentioned in the side effects list....

I find that funny too!  Every drug you take for ch has potential to cause headache.  arghhhhhhhhh

www.melatonin.com

I got mine from this site , you can only order 6 bottles at a time, but thats enough to see you through quite a while.

It did take nearly 2 weeks to get it, it did work, I was taking 15 -18mg .

meant to say you cannot buy it in the UK, something to do with not being licensed.

Have to get it from the net

Blame bloody Brussels! They say it's not allowed because the content varies too much - same as in every other supplement going  ::)

I use www.vitacost.com They've been very reliable and they're cheap too - worth a look to compare with the other site as I've never looked at that one.

The only use there is for melatonin in the UK is for kids with ADHD or sleep disorders which is why your GP can't prescribe. It's not illegal to have or use just in case your worrying!
