I hope i'm not being over-optimistic, but I am pretty sure my cycle has ended!! It lasted 6 weeks and I went cold-turkey with it since I don't have access to RX's or oxygen. I've learned so much from all of you guys and appreciate the input - it's going to help me next go-around with this - probably in December again. Now all I have to do is stress and worry for the next 10 months.. Thanks for being so supportive ..

Don't stress or worry Lucy. There's no profit in it. Just enjoy your PF time. Go out and live your life. You've earned it ;)

I'm glad to hear the beast is leaving you alone. I hope your break is a long one. In the mean time, don't be a stranger.

thats awsome news,
no point worrying about the next cycle cos it might not come round for years, lets hope so, i too used to get it yearly but ive had 4 years remission since the last cycle, just finished mine over a week ago,
can drink beer again without dancing,
i hope you get a long remission

Thanks to all for your words of encouragement ....but....I guess I jinxed myself by actually putting it in writing that my cycle was OVER.. Wouldn't you know that after days of pain free nights I was awakened early this morning at 2:30 with a visit from the Beast. It wasn't bad but still very disappointing and not looking forward to tonight.. Thanks again ... I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed.

Brewcrew is absolutely correct. Now go out and enjoy your life.

One rougue hit or two, does not mean stopping your life and putting it on hold so you can then go through another cycle which you will also put your life on hold for. Then you can put your life on hold for the NEXT 10 months....and so on and so on....

Go to a park, play with your kids, do a good job at work, make love, make war....but live DAMNIT! Way too many hours and days wasted by this demon.!!!!!!!

O.K. I'll shut-up now.

As the others have said, just enjoy your painfree time. The thing's bad enough when it's kicking you around--don't let it mess up your life when it's absent.
