Title: The Headache Impact Test (HIT)
Post by LeeS on Jan 23rd, 2008, 11:39am
Hi folks

Not sure if this has come up before, but it's very interesting, if you like that sort of thing:

Quote:
How much are headaches disrupting your life?

Take the Headache Impact Test™ (HIT) now and find out. HIT will give you an accurate description of the impact headaches are having on your life.

In less than 2 minutes, you will have 2 custom reports about your headaches – one for you and one that you should share with your doctor.

HIT will help you:

•      Understand the impact headaches are having on your life
•      Communicate this information to your doctor
•      Track your progress over time

HIT is also available in a paper-and-pencil version with 6 questions, known as HIT-6™. HIT-6 is translated into more than 25 languages.

Both versions of HIT quantify the effect that headaches have on your ability to function in your life. Scores from HIT and HIT-6 are interchangeable.

HIT is designed to help you talk with your doctor about your headaches. Research shows that when doctors understand exactly how badly headaches affect the lives of their patients, they are much more likely to design a successful treatment program, which may include medication.
Internet-based HIT is available in English only. The English version of HIT-6 is provided for use when Internet access is not available or practical.

To take the test, go here (you may have to register first):

http://www.headachetest.com/

I wonder how many of us score over 70 when in bout? ::)

It worked for me only when entering (faked) information in all of the fields.
Since the site uses IIS using IE could be helpful as well.

76.   And I notice at the bottom of the page is an ad for a site that will tell you exactly when you are going to die.   :-X  Is there a connection?   :o

I did finally do something normal today... 8) took a good friend to the animal shelter to pick out a puppy.  She found the best dog!  And I know she wanted to visit for hours, but I got slammed.  So after slamming a RipIt in the parking lot, I got us home safely yet quickly, leaving finger imprints in my steering wheel.
I hate the way this SOB has no respect for fun, relaxation, normal activites....

(yes I would like a bit of cheese with that wine ::)

PFDAN y'all
kathy

P.S. Chewy you are in my prayers all the time.  Really.  Mostly cause I think it annoys you 8) and I don't do vibes...

modified for Chewys' sake

73, but I'm not real sure what good that test does.  It contains no real information of any import.  It just confirms what we already know, that our head hurts, and that it affects our lives.  Maybe a Nobel is in the offing?

70, but I took some liberty with the, "When you have a headache, how often do you wish you could lie down?" question.

I want to get on the bed, face down, in fetal position and rock.
