For those of you taking Melatonin. What dosage works for you?

I vary between 9mg and 12mg. Haven't had to go up to 15mg (yet). I don't take it when I'm out of cycle.

When going on I started at 3mg and went up every other day till I hit the desired range.

What wrong with this drug, I cannot get it here in Jersey Uk and have been told that it is banned on the mainland as well .

Does anyone know why and if this is true

I googled your question. It seems because it hasn't been tested it has been withdrawn from sale in the UK. You can, however, receive it by mail order from the States.

between 9-12 was the magic bullet.

in england it is not OTC.

In the states it is and is considered an herbal suppliment and can be bought alongside vitamins

9-15 mg -- I take it year round. When I'm in a high cycle I take more - low, I take less. I think it's wonderful and has pretty much stopped the night hits.

;;D ;;D For me the magic number depends if its based in B-6 or just the melatonin, with the plain melatonin I have to take 25 mg plus 2-B-12's or the B-6 formula I take 24mg.
Its good for a couple of hours of rest! Pappy

Taking 15 mg daily...glad its relatively cheap. :)

In cycle (which is the only time I take it) I've been using 9 mg. I'm 6'2" and 180 lbs. , so I could probably up it a bit, although it seems to work quite well at that level.

9-18mgs, and half of that is usually "time-release" melatonin, makes for a longer sleep.
