Title: I'm tired!
Post by ctygrl1965 on Dec 19th, 2007, 9:15pm
Went to work. Got a call from the school nurse. My son was throwing up. Called my husband. He was in the middle of a headache and ran out of o2. Called 411 from my cell. Don't have a pen. Connect me please. Get connected to the o2 supplier on the road to pick up the vomiting son. Called my husband back to let him know the o2 is on the way . He's no longer there. He's in the middle of a hell storm and his assistant is driving him home.Crap! Still don't have a pen. Got connected again to  the o2 supplier to say never mind. Called my daughter at home. Tell her to get the o2, ice and icewater ready. Daughter calls back says Daddy is down to 1/4 tank, all others are empty.  You guessed it. Got connected to the o2 supplier  and tell them to deliver to the house. Pick up the thrower-upper.
(who, by the way has finals tomorrow!)The o2 supplier comes to the house and only has one tank, will deliver the others tomorrow. My husband is up to a 10. Pacing the floor, crying and banging his head. Thank God the o2 is here and it's starting to work. Call the pain Dr. The B squad won't let me talk to him. Get transferred to voice mail saying they will get back to me within 48 hours! Call the primary Dr. He says , call the pain Dr back. Call the pain Dr. Get past the B squad but only get to talk to the nurse. She says stop taking the trileptal it's obviously not working. DUH! Call back in two days. Whatever! Son didn't make it to the toilet. Now I'm picking up vomit in the hallway. Call work and tell them I won't be there tomorrow, will be busy picking up vomit. Husband is asleep. Leave to go pick up the truck my husband left at work. Take my daughter with me as an extra driver.  Run into some heavy traffic. Oh Oh it's an accident. No EMS, no PD yet. Stop to help. Poor guy is dead. Daughter freaks. Get back to the house. Son is still throwing up and , thank God, husband is still sleeping.  I'm tired.

[smiley=hug.gif] I am an elementary teacher. Our nurse told me she sent home 6 kids throwing up, one didn't get to go home cause Mom never answered the phone all day. Thanks for being there for your son, despite the horrible day. Sleep well tonight!! Tomorrow is a new day!

I say we get her the Super Woman Award.

1 bottle of wine, bath bombs, candles, a cd of soft jazz (or relaxing music of her choice) to listen to and a fluffy warm robe when she gets done.

Bless you from the bottom of my heart for beng a supporter. You sound like my better half of 27 years who can juggle 47 balls in the air at a time and not drop one. Your hubby is a lucky man. If he ever doubts that point him this way and we will beat him roughly!!!! ;;D

I see this thread title over and over, and all I can think of is Madeline Kahn as Lili von Schtupp in Blazing Saddles:

Here I stand, the goddess of Desire
Set men on fire
I have this power
Morning noon and night it's drink and dancing
Some quick romancing
And then a shower
Stage door johnnies always surround me
They always hound me
With one request
Who can satisfy their lustful habits
I'm not a rabbit
I need some rest

I'm tired
Sick and tired of love
I've had my fill of love
From below and above
Tired, tired of being admired
Tired of love uninspired
Let's face it
I'm tired

i read your story and had to laugh. sometimes you have to laugh to keep from crying. my mother and my wife jump through alot of hoops during an my attacks. if i had to do this on my own i really don't know what i would do. even when my wife is steaming mad at me she still brings me ice water and tries to help. after we put out the fire and i get my head calmed  down she goes back to being mad at me. lol
thank you spouses and moms for caring for us.thank you ctygrl1965 for being a patient and caring wife. i am sure you will have a place reserved for you in heaven.
