Used half of the injection by using a cue tip...Seemed to take a little longer to kick in (maybe my imagination), but it worked....Now my question is, How do i sterilized the needle so that i can safely put it back in my leg again?

I believe that to minimize HIV transfer, addicts are taught to use bleach to sterilize needles. Rubbing alcohol kills most germs as well. Do NOT take this as medical advice, but it should do in a pinch.

THE BLEACH METHOD IS NOT FOR THE NEEDLE.

Just wipe it with an alcohol swab and cap it.

Trex should be used into the upper body, some where you have a layer of fat under the skin. The needle goes just under the skin, but not into muscle.

If spitting shots works see if you can get vials and syringes. They are cheaper, and makes spitting shots much easier.

Thanks for that advice because I had always used it in my thigh and it had worked.....

The first 3 mg worked.....but yesterday I had a major CH...I don't know if I have gotten used to the 6 mg or not, but I tried using just the last of my 3 mg....it didn't touch it....I was in such pain....I tried to manage for 20 minutes, but finally broke down and took a whole another 6 mg. So i ended up taking 9 mg for that headache! I was so warn out, I just lay there and slept for 3 hours....I will have to try the arm, and maybe the syringe when I have time to experiment....This was my first time to split the shots, but definately didn't work for ME....

One good thing about splitting shots is you can take more if you need it. There are some people who need a full shot. For others a full shot causes chest tightness and rebounds. Experiment until you find what works best for you. Maybe a 1/2 shot is what you need.

Up today always used all 6mg in one shot. When I'll need, I plan to do : shoot all 6mg in an insuline syrinx, than pour half in another syrinx. Keep both in the frigo ready to use.

p.s.: in the States is already available the 4mg ?

Yeah, when I went to get samples, doc had 4 mg samples.....they came in orange containers....he said he thought maybe they were for children....wasn't sure they'd work for me.

just use alcohol.

the more you use the same needle the duller it will be making it slightly more uncomfortable but no big deal

I did tell him I had heard that clusters might not call for the whole 6....he sounded interested....but it wasn't 2 days later i took a half and thought I was going to die....so like you said..."weird", lol.

From the CH or from the shot ? For me a half works as good as a whole without the anxiety you get from a whole shot. I always use the thigh cuz it takes two hands to inject for me. One to hold a fatty part to inject in and the other to push the Q-tip.

As long as you swab your skin with alcohol before injecting, just wipe the tip of the needle with alcohol afterward and it should be fine to re-use on yourself.

A better solution is to get the multidose vial and some insulin needles. They are smaller and sharper anyway. :)

No, I used a half a shot ...waited about 20 min....never went away...so i ended up using a WHOLE of another shot.....ANd for some reason when I use imitrex, my CH gets WORSE before it gets better....I'll take it, sometimes at at 3 or 4, it'll shoot to a 9 or 10 for a few minutes, then bam its gone....Its like the trex is saying well I'm going to help you, but damnit you are going to suffer a few minutes, lol.
