Title: I guess I am back in cycle...Not really sure Post by KristenF1977 on Dec 10th, 2007, 9:26am Hi, I posted under KristenF77, and do not have my password here, so I had to re-register because the site was not recognizing my name when I tried to have my PW mailed to me. Anyhow.............. I started Friday night with a headache at around 3:30 AM. Lasted for about 15 minutes, and I was able to get back to sleep. Saturday night, no headache at all. Last night, headache at 1:00 am. Got out of bed, injected myself, and was ok to go back to sleep in about 15 minutes or so. It seems the headaches are hitting appx. 5 hours into sleep. I fell asleep fairly early last night, around 8:30 am. On Friday, I went to bed at 10:30 pm, and got hit at 3:30pm. My question is, has anyone had a cycle that has "skipped" days? I am a little confused. Thank you in advance. kristen |

Title: Re: I guess I am back in cycle...Not really sure Post by pattik on Dec 10th, 2007, 10:08am Hi Kristen, I've been episodic for many years, and all of my cycles start out on an every other day schedule, then move to daily attacks. Hopefully you're just seeing random activity and not a new cycle, but you may want to look into getting some oxygen for aborting attacks, if you haven't done so already. Oxygen can be a good weapon in the arsenal for many, and help you to use less of the Trex. Hope this helps. Patti |

Title: Re: I guess I am back in cycle...Not really sure Post by KristenF1977 on Dec 10th, 2007, 10:22am Pat Thank you so much for the quick reply. They seem to be very low on the KIP, almost mistakeable for a sinus headache if I didnt know any better. I guess time will only tell. I only used a teeny bit of the trex, and it really helped me alot. I also took 7mg of Melatonin before bed. I really hope this isnt a new cycle, but I have a feeling it may be. |

Title: Re: I guess I am back in cycle...Not really sure Post by George_J on Dec 10th, 2007, 10:39am My cycles typically start out with lower-level hits, spaced farther apart than those that occur later, in mid-cycle. So yes--if it were happening to me, I'd say that it's the beginning of a new cycle. Seems as if every episodic's cycle is a bit different, though. Sorry to hear you're getting hit again. Best wishes, George |

Title: Re: I guess I am back in cycle...Not really sure Post by wip5150 on Dec 10th, 2007, 12:33pm Kristin, My episodes usually start slow, peak, then die slow. At the beginning of a cycle, I'll have a headache every other day then slipping into an every day pattern after about a week or so (although each of my cycle's are different). Good luck - I hope you're not beginning a new cycle. Bill |

Title: Re: I guess I am back in cycle...Not really sure Post by Samiam on Dec 18th, 2007, 4:24pm Hi, When mine start I will get low grade hits for about a week but make no mistake I know after the second one that it's my cycle. They ramp up in about a week and for 5 weeks I want to end it all. If it wasn't for this site I might have. I've had these now for over 26 yrs and what I have noticed is as I get older my cycles start to skip years. When I first cycled I would get them every year for 6-8 weeks now if I'm lucky I can go a couple of years between hits but I never know until I skip my time. Sami |

Title: Re: I guess I am back in cycle...Not really sure Post by BarbaraD on Dec 19th, 2007, 8:18am You might try upping the melatonin to 12-15mg at night to help with the night hits. Sounds like you're not taking enough. If they're low-grade hits - might try a can of Red Bull along with O2 to abort instead of trex (save the trex for the big ones). Wishing you a short cycle...
