How much (mg) are you supposed to take. Finally got some capsules (500mg) but don't remember how much to take. Someone who's had them work - let me know Please....

I'm taking 1500 mgs a day, Barb. I'n not sure if it's the taurine alone, but I'm coming out of a really nasty cycle. I had a pf day (not attack free, though...I've had many phantom attacks, symptoms without pain) 2 days after starting it.
There's 1000mgs of it in energy drinks, so if you're using those, I'd take less.

Thanks, I didn't want to OD on it, but I'm trying everything right now (nasty cycle - the weather is playing havoc on my head). I couldn't even read the damn can to see how much was in it - my eye was swollen shut. Now that's bad... They need to put bigger print on those cans :).

Today it's 79 degrees and is supposed to get to 50 tonight and rain.... The barometer is going up and down - If it would just make up its mind to be winter or summer I think I might live, but right now I'm not sure.... ok enough whinning.. just feeling sorry for myself.. tell me to get up and get some of my "to do" list done.. ;;D

When I took taurine tablets, I took 1 500mg pill/day for 50 days. Bigger dose would have been too much for my stomach to handle.

Red Bull has 1,000 mg per can. Some studies on taurine (cholesterol, arrhythmia) used 6,000 to 20,000 mg a day.
