I've read a post here and there where people have mentioned "cluster lumps"... A lump appearing in their neck during a hit. I did a search, and it turned up nothing. Just want to know a little more about them, like:
Do they only appear during a hit, or do they appear before and/or after?
Do they happen on the pain side? either? both?
Does rubbing or massaging it help get rid of the beast quicker?

Whatever other info you could provide would be appreciated..

I get the lump the whole time I'm in cycle. It gets more pronounced when I'm getting hit. I can get some relief by icing it and massaging it but I think the relief I get is more loosening up everything that "scrunches" down when I'm getting hit. Mine isn't really visible unless you're looking for it, but it's solid mass when you go to rub it out. I've seen some people post about lumps that resembled quasimoto!!!

Adam,

I get the lump on my shoulder and at the base of my skull during hits...and I put steady pressure on them with my thumb and index finger.

They hurt like hell...I never noticed if they were there afterwards, as I am terrified to move when it ends, or to touch anything for fear of starting it all over again.

I beileve they are called ganglions. Those ares are always tender for me though. Hope that helps a little.
