Title: Re: GOOD TIMES!!!!!!!!! Post by BarbaraD on Oct 23rd, 2007, 6:52am Have you tried melatonin before bedtime. It gets you thru the REM sleep and usually (for a lot of us - not all) gets you thru the night hits. It takes a couple of weeks to get in your system and start working (it's not instant). I've been on the melatonin for several years and very seldom have a night hit (I'm chronic). I take 3mg as a maintenance dose but when I'm in a high cycle I take 12-15mg. My neuro recommends it highly. Some take some benadryl before bedtime (might throw some some dramamine in for the throwing up) till the melatonin starts working. Don't know about the throwing up - never had that (some do). Hope you have a short cycle. Hugs BD |

Title: Re: GOOD TIMES!!!!!!!!! Post by Bob P on Oct 23rd, 2007, 7:10am Yes. Years ago I would vomit with almost every attack. Didn't know if it was from the pain or the cafergot I was taking. Attack always stopped a few minutes after vomiting. I figured that since serotonin was stored in the intestinal lining that maybe the vomiting was releasing a rush of serotonin and ending the attack. |
