Title: New Cycle
Post by jchestnut on Oct 11th, 2007, 2:47am
I started a new cycle this week.  Strange because my cycle usually occurs in the spring.  Last year I had a very mild cycle, and then I get hit with one of the worst I've ever had two days ago.  I spent three hours in the ER screaming and crying.  Has anyone else had a change like this?  No beast today, just some pressure.

I'm having a very bizarre time here...teach me to become complacent! Anyhow, I don't know what's going on but I sure don't like it...

Hang in there friend, we'll get through this...said as much for you as for myself! :)

After almost 30 years I've just come to accept the constant change. For 15 years I had cycles they could set the atomic clock to, every spring and fall. Then I started skipping, as long as 2 years. Try not to dwell on it. ALWAYS be ready to do battle, and enjoy your pain free time. Sorry he's back. :-/

It seems that every time the beast rears it's ugly head there is something different about it lately. Mine have started switching sides in the middle of a cycle [smiley=huh.gif] go figure. Just wondering, how long you have been a sufferer, and if you just have one cycle per year? 8)

Hi J,

Sorry you're getting hit by a morphing beast.  You aren't alone.  I hope you get a break soon.  Let us know if we can do anything.  Even if its just to listen to you vent.

Sorry you're having such a tough time. I had one experience like that. Mine appeared like clockwork in October and either March or April. However, one summer, the beast appeared for 5 days or so in August never to make that appearance again.

Beats me.

I saw my Doctor yesterday and he prescribed Periactin 3 times a day.  Has anyone had any luck with this?  I also got my annual bottle of Percocet which helps me deal with the pain a bit.  Really just knocks me out completely after the beast is gone.
