Title: Does Lyrica make you nauseous?
Post by Garys_Girl on Sep 22nd, 2007, 9:14pm
Hubby has very serious GI problems (the problem is not in his GI system but in the signals his brain sends) and so many of the meds he's tried have contributed to the problem (and anti-emetics don't work AT ALL).

We haven't tried Lyrica yet.  Two questions:

Anyone taking Lyrica have any comments on whether it has affected your tummy?

And anyone on Lyrica tried Depakote and it didn't work?  Because hubby's tried the Depakote, and all it did was make him feel sick and contribute to an increase in the throwing up.

I've been reading about people getting some sleep and feeling sleepy from using the Lyrica, and even if that's the only thing it does, it would be a real blessing.

Thanks,

Laurie

Thanks for the input Karla.  Sorry it didn't help at all.  I was hoping for even a little help in getting some sleep.

My hubby Kevin has begun to take 150 mg twice daily with good results.  He complained of the tiredness at first, but now, he says that he is used to it.  He also says that his head feels like there is a numb halo around the top of his head, I know, sounds different to me too.  But, in my view, the lyrica has calmed him and his headaches way down.  He is more patient and friendly at work, and here with me and the girls.  But, for how long, I'm not sure.  I'm hope this helps, Leah.
