Title: After all this time, they are back Post by nancyc on Aug 31st, 2007, 11:33am I went almost three years except for two isolated episodes of chs that lasted only about one week....then, I had a 5 tooth bridge put on the bottom of my mouth....why, did I do that ???? I am getting hit everytime I start having spasms in my face from this damn bridge not being adjusted rite...the dentist adjusted it twice already...I never realized how much my TMJ was a factor in triggering off my clusters until now. I wish I could just jerk this bridge out and go back to the way I was. For the last 3 years, my neuro has had my chs under control with medication.....then I just had to go and get this done. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? I also broke one of my ribs this week so I am on bedrest...and that sucks for a clusterhead....when my clusters are hitting, the worse thing i can do is be in bed. Sorry for all the complaining but wanted to see if anyone else has had their clusters triggered by TMJ..... smiles, nancyc |

Title: Re: After all this time, they are back Post by DennisM1045 on Sep 1st, 2007, 10:03am Sorry to hear about your pain Nancy. I know almost any abnormal amount of stress is enough to wake the beast and change up his schedule. It could just be stress related. I know that doesn't help. What are you using for prevents? It might be time to try something new. Pred tapper? I hope you get some relief soon. -Dennis- |

Title: Re: After all this time, they are back Post by Neil_C on Sep 4th, 2007, 8:09pm I think my teeth clenching (bruxism) at night is a trigger so I can imagine any strain in the area of the Jaw/Face will take its toll somehow. It might very well call the beast out of hibernation. Anyways, good to see there was a happy ending N |
