Title: Medication that works
Post by ABarham on Aug 22nd, 2007, 3:55pm
Hi everyone.  Sorry I have been absent, but just haven't had opportunity to get online.  Also, Adam has been in Florida since February.  He is due home in October.  BUT---- he saw a doctor in Tampa, she gave him meds that so far have WORKED!!!!  It took a couple of weeks to get in his system, but he has gone from 3 - 5 per day to NONE.  He said that if he misses a dose he will get hit.  The med is PROPRANOLOL 10 mgs 2 times per day.

Thought it was worth sharing.

Propranolol is an old drug that is mainly used for blood pressure. Glad to hear that it's helping Adam and I hope it continues with great success!

Thanks for sharing !

That was the first of many meds i tried.  Unfortunatly it didn't work for me.  I am glad to hear that it has helped Adam!  I hope and pray that he stay pain free for as long as possible.

Yet another migraine drug that's working for CHers!

They had me on it in the 90s - didn't help.  Very happy to hear it's working for you!!!
