I started taking verapamil monday night and have not been hit since.......

conincidence or can it take effect that quickly.

I take 4 pills a day of the 80mg and combine it with 4 pills or 12mg of melatonin at night.

anythings possible, verapimil helped me in a week, could of been sooner , don't know because i was on predisone for that week.

I may be wrong, but does Calan (verapamil) even come in 80mgs? It's been years since I've taken it, but I swear it starts at 150mg's...

I took 4 240mg CalanSR a day...and never heard of 80mg tabs... [smiley=huh.gif]

I'm taking the lowest dose available (according to my Neuro anyway): 120mg.

I know a guy who quit getting hit after his first dose of verapamill, I didn't believe him and told him he was full of shit. That guy is like a brother to me. I'm lucky he was forgiving. ;;D

I too, stand corrected. It's been a long time...about 7 years...

And I began at 3 240's a day,then 4 and went up to 5, but only for a few months (of course that's when I noticed a difference) and my neuro at Jefferson was too concerned that I end up haveing arterio heartblock...so that was the end of that...thanks for the correction.

*When I say "noticed a difference", I mean a noticed a marked improvement in amt of hits..neuro asked "How does it feel to be the only person on the planet to be on 5 Calan a day?"... I cried that day...and went back to the same old crap

I was on 4-240's for 3 weeks, along with norvasc and toparil ......I died .... pulse down to 20 then 0 ....brought back 3x's ....coma 19 days icu .....survirved ..no damage ... too many mds , differing ideas about rx combo....anyway verpamil never worked for me 4 different x's....phil h
