Title: summer time and swimming at sea makes better?
Post by black on Jun 27th, 2007, 7:26am
when temprature is above 37c i feel better somehow.less attacks than winter with cold and moisture.more when i get the chance for swimming at sea pain falls to 2-3 points. apart from this ,only cortizone (not sure for the spelling sorry) makes me feel pain free.just for notice i am cronic state since the begining. i was never free for more than a week apart from last year when i went for swimming about 65 times! i hadnt done that for a decade and even more and as a result pain free from june till october!with exception of 10?! crisis of point 1-2?!.i am not yet sure what went well.no medics from doc at time.forgive me for the length of the post but has anybody the same experience??

Black it's more about staying active, the swimming probably kept you active enough to not get attacks.I never got an attack while playing softball and I could never figure it out but then it all made sense ,stay active avoid attacks plus for some the barometer does affect there attacks, but not for me.Good luck and try to stay pain free.

Sadly CH is a huge variable - for some of us cold works brilliantly and heat is a major trigger and for others its the other way around.

Exercise for some will help abort an attack and it will bring one on for others - Clusters are like the ultimate "designer" headache as no two of us suffer exactly the same or get the same benefits from exactly the same drugs and dosages.

It's all about finding what works for us as individuals and it looks like you have certainly done that! Thanks fo sharing your comments with us, it all helps with understanding the bigger picture.

Now lets see if there is anything we can help YOU with - we'll certainly try!

Pain Free wishes
Helen

hi Helen.nowdays i am with 4 pills for blood pressure and 2 antiepiliptic.adjustments and changes as always.just keep on trying.but i suspect that there is a great relation between weather and hipothalamus. yes its true that each of us is different but a wild guess is that we are all different sides of the same coin.ones heaven is others hell(cold and heat and vise versus).but the common is moisture.if u look the map at this side most live by the sea through out the world!maybe the problem is there or even the solution?u cant breath cold or heat but moisture?all these unbalanced cycles of sleep we all suffer?and why clear oxygen makes us really better?i am not a doctor and i dont know all things hipothalamus is responsible for.as i said is a wild wild guess but doc keeps staffing us pills just to see what happens.so i try to understand  what going on.as for u just thanks for being here

Keep the thinking cap on black.

I'm a firm believer in humidity or temperature being behind this somewhere.

One day someone will hit on it.
