Title: all not alone Post by horsegirl on Jun 22nd, 2007, 9:24pm hi,I have gotten so much info from this site, mostly i dont feel so alone anymore i mean with the cluster ha.from being shuned in work places to my first two husbands not even trying to understand, luckily my third husband of ten years is an angel when it comes to my ha's.sense there so rare Ive never met anyone that had them.research has come along way, when i was 15 i got my first one,and thought i had a sinus ha,then when i was 20 i finaly was diagnoised I looked them up in a headache book and it said the profile for a person with cluster headaches was a 40 year old man that drinks and smokes heavily with a red bulbus nose, maybe one of you read that to but that was 20 some years ago.I'd sure like to get ahold of that person that wrote that.we still got along way to go.Ive read many post from many of you and notice attitude wich is well earned im sure it was annoying having that lady junebug or whatever the hell her name was act like she had the answers when youve all read and tried everything or close to it anyway just begging please dont be to hard on me like that if i say something stupid cause im reall sensitive lol [ |

Title: Re: all not alone Post by GrandPotentate on Jun 22nd, 2007, 11:50pm I'm glad you found this group. These folks have been a wonderful source of comfort. It is pretty scary going through the unknown phase with docs who don't know what is going on. I went through that, even though I might be described as "a 40 year old man that drinks and smokes heavily with a red bulbus nose" Beer doesn't agree with me while I'm in cycle, but I enjoy otherwise. I did give up the smokes on the doctor's advice, while he had me doped up. The nose is a family thing. Bummer that the beast can hit a sweet young thing like you, too. |
