Title: Twinge Post by mabus on Jun 13th, 2007, 9:44pm I've been episodic for nearly a quarter century, and have come to know the Beast well. I came into cycle on 4/13/07, and this has been a mercifully "mild" cycle. Or maybe I'm just better at coping with it by now. I never got hit worse than K6/7, and only had to buy my own 'trex once, with the backstock and prescription coverage handling the rest. I took a trip to northern Norway in late May and was nearly "out" of cycle when I went, and had a nearly PF streak (K3) for 10 days before I came home, only to have the return to darkness trigger a re-emergence of the cycle. But the whole time I was there, for those nearly PF 10 days, I still had "the twinge", and sensed that I was still "in" cycle. While I'm in cycle, I can close my right eyelid and "sense" that twinge, just by having my eyelid forcibly closed. I'm not sure I can accurately describe the feeling, but I'm sure that there are some out there that know exactly what I'm talking about. I can feel with my eye that I'm in cycle, even if I'm not getting hit. Just a weird, non painful "twinge". And now I think it's gone, so I'm sensing that I'm finally into remission, two months to the day from when it came back like an unwelcome tire on a NY mobster's cranium. It's been 3 days since I've had even a K1 or 2, and the 'trex might be put away tomorrow morning, since it's been 5 days since the old pokey happened. Good bye twinge. I hope to never know you again. That's what I always tell myself, and one of these times, it will be truth. I hope. |

Title: Re: Twinge Post by Guiseppi on Jun 14th, 2007, 10:32am I have a right eye twinge and know exactly what you mean. You close that eye and it's an almost physical presence above and behind your eyelid. Hoping you catch a 3 year break like I recently had....they happen!!!!!! ;) Guiseppi |

Title: Re: Twinge Post by Phil L on Jun 14th, 2007, 12:23pm Yes, I can get all the manifestations to include, drooping eyelid, constricted pupil, redness, etc. and feel that same "twinge" or a tightness without a great deal of pain. Leaves me with the feeling of not knowing if the Beast is coming or going. |

Title: Re: Twinge Post by Ray on Jun 14th, 2007, 1:30pm Hello Everybody: It's like the beast is trying to reach out to touch you, but he's just out of reach. Time to wave bye-bye, and smile, and leave him in the dust... Ray |

Title: Re: Twinge Post by puppetonastring on Jun 17th, 2007, 11:31am For me it's almost like a no pain (or a bearly over K0 shadow). There is tension and weight - a definate presence that you just don't want to provoke. I'm recognizing in conjunction a rapid internal "twitch" almost spasm like running from my temple to my jaw. |
