Title: "Borat"
Post by klusterkopf on Jun 5th, 2007, 11:58pm
Hilarious film!  I was getting hit bad all day-watched "Borat" and laughed so much that it distracted me from the pain-see the film even if you are not getting CH attacks!  Laughter, still one of the best medicins! [smiley=laugh.gif]

The headache didn't vanish but laughing so much made the pain bearable.  Distraction is a technique used here in pain management and can provide temporary relief (and I was taking my meds as well).  CH or not, it is one funny film :).

Lotus, your violin REALLY needs tuning!

Yes, I often watch comedies and laugh during a cluster attack  ... NOT   ::)

You must be joking !! Sounds like you have CH confused with Meegraines !! Keep looking, you'll find the right messageboard. Obviously this is not the right one. No one is going to sit and watch a movie ( and laugh even ) during a cluster attack !! If that's what you're doing (thats what you said you were doing) then you DON"T have clusters !! Be thankful !! go see a doc and get a correct diagnosis !!

UNsolved

PS. I'll second that !  [smiley=nopity.gif]  Do you know what he's playing ?

I've had CH since 1980; episodic until 1996, when I turned chronic and I have been examined and diagnosed by some of the best neurologists in Europe, among them Dr. Hans-Christoph Diener of the University of Essen and at the Diamond Clinic in Chicago.  This is not to be taken personally, but I have noticed that many times on the board people are told that they do not have CH-that is something for the doctors to decide and at times such a statement is made in a hostile manner.  We each experience and handle our pain differently-I was never a "head banger"; I have seen enough doctors over the past 27 years who have diagnosed me with CH and they can't all have been wrong.  I wish that I did have migraines!

As for the violin, I think he was playing "Oh Screeching Cat!" from the opera "Fingernails on the Blackboard".  :o

CH involves cranial blood vessel dilatation, laughing a lot increases intracranial pressure, it would make the pain worse, not better !

Personally thought the film had its moments but that Cohen never knew when to take the laugh and move on, at the expense of the many innocent people he skewers in his film. Those moments when you find him funny and then after he carries it too far you end up feeling kind of bad for having been laughing at all.

I surrender!  I am making promise not to be watching funny movies anymore times when I am having cluster headaches, which I do not have because I am being told so and what do doctors know anyhow.  I am thanking you all very much!  Now I am cured and start drinking German milk (beer) again!

I only watch sad crying movies from now on. [smiley=bigcry.gif]

Borat is hillarious, whomever disagrees just has a dry sense of humor.  As for the beating your taking, just brush it off. I could watch a movie with a kip 1-3, I'd be rubbing my head alot and I don't think I'd be laughing a whole lot. Stick around and enjoy the amusement. Theres a hell of alot of good reading in here.

Cheers
Chris

P.S. could you get that guy to play some Springsteen on that violin??? ;;D
