Title: It's the damn barometer!!!! Post by BarbaraD on May 22nd, 2007, 6:03pm I know it's the barometer..... I've been doing really well until this morning and the barometer took a nosedive -- and the devil hit with a vengence! Did I mention -- I HATE STORMS!!!! It's been yucky all day and so has my head. Have been trying to work and can't even make sense of most of it. Had to call off an audit for tomorrow cause I don't think the IRS wants me in their office like this. My face looks like I've been fighting with Rocky III or IV. I've been saying for years that my CHs are triggered by the barometer -- and today proves it. How's that for scientific theory? Title: Re: It's the damn barometer!!!! Post by casslean on May 22nd, 2007, 7:34pm We've had a few days of unstable weather patterns, and it's been playing havoc with my head as well. I wish I could offer some advice, but I can't. I have found employing breathing techniques similar to that employed during childbirth help me stay calm and thus alleviate the pain somewhat by not adding to it from the tension in my neck and shoulders. |

Title: Re: It's the damn barometer!!!! Post by Phil L on May 22nd, 2007, 8:14pm I've experienced the same barometric trigger and for the life of me do not understand why this occurs. Perhaps someone could shed some light on it for me. Thanks, Phil. |

Title: Re: It's the damn barometer!!!! Post by Redd on May 22nd, 2007, 8:41pm Barb, For years even long before I was DX, weather fronts killed me. It would break IF ...1) the eye of the storm was right over me, when the rain would start to fall and the lightning and thunder started to roll...or 2) the front passed totally, passing north or south..then is when my head would be wild all the while. I guess I got to loving good strong storms passing right overhead, because it would break everything up during the time it was boombing and cracking outside, and the rain is falling sideways. Gimme a good window rattling storm any day... |
