Title: Re: 6 days of pf is over Post by Lotus on May 18th, 2007, 5:02pm Please try oxygen again. You need a non rebreather mask and high flow 12-15 L/min. If you use the oxygen at the very start of a hit, with a non rebreather mask and start at say 15L/min, making sure you have a good seal so you dont get air contamination, then oxygen should work as a powerful vasoconstrictor and the beauty of it is, its side effect free and it targets cranial blood vessels more than peripheral, so that it doesnt affect your heart and other organs the way Trex does. Once the pain goes, stay on oxygen another 5 mins or so slowly cranking down the flow rate to allow the body to adjust back to normal air. It will prevent rebound. Our neurologist is so confident how well oxygen works to abort CH that he even said it could be incorporated into the diagnosis. Give it another go, its great to have another weapon against the beast up your sleeves. Take care and painfree wishes to you. Annette |

Title: Re: 6 days of pf is over Post by rolo65 on May 19th, 2007, 7:23pm The O2 didn't work for me untill I got the Cluster mask and cranked it up to at least 10Lpm. Hope it helps!! Get Scrip from the doc so the Ins will cover it, and get a regulator that goes to 15Lpm. |
