Well so far they have been mild. I'm through my first week and I have been able to control them with just a lot of ice packs. This is a far cry from my pass experience. What we have done is switch my Cortef which I have been on for well over a year 1/2 in the AM and 1/2 in the PM so far 2 days with just minor hits. I'm not sure if the triggers were from having Mono or not but if this is the worse of it then I will kiss the ground. I was so afraid that I would get the full blown hits and be in hell for 8 weeks. I'm so hoping that I will remain in remission. Thanks for all the support that you have given me I really need it. If they do take off then I will go back to Imitrex nasal.

Sami I'm glad you are coping with just ice for now but please - have some other abortives to hand okay? I would be alot happier knowing you had the means to abort if needed whilst hoping they go out of date before you do :)
You might want to consider a couple of cans of red bull as an option as well, alot of us swear by it if you can get it down quick enough.

I will keep on hand the Imitrex nasal. Hoping that I won't need it. This is such a weird cycle. Not sure what the heck is going on but for now I'm just taking one day at a time. The Cortef that I'm on is a steriod so I guess time will tell us everything.

when u get the early signals, do prepare yourself for the upcoming battle. Get the abortives measures ready. to counter this beast. :)
